Zlatan Ibrahimovic has delivered his prediction on the contenders who will be fighting in the top six of the Premier League and he left out a certain Tottenham Hotspur.
The Swede has rejoined Manchester United for a second year as he recovers from his knee injury, and he was asked by ESPN who he saw challenging for the title this season.
“In the Premier League there are many [rivals], which are the top six let’s say, they will give a hard time for everybody,” said Ibrahimovic.
“Like last season Chelsea was the best team, they won. You’ll still have Chelsea, you have Liverpool, I think Everton are not to underestimated because they have a great coach and they are investing a lot to win.
“And obviously you have Arsenal, [Manchester] City. So I think it will look like last year but this year the Red Devils will be on top.”
It may just be that the 35-year-old striker forgot about Spurs, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side – who finished second last season – will definitely be expecting to challenge once again.
