West Ham fans were sent into something of a meltdown last night when it was reported the club had made a bid for Stoke City star Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian has made a big impact with the Potters since joining in 2013, however rumours have emerged that the Hammers are in for him.
The 28-year-old has a £10m valuation on him from Mark Hughes’ side, and signed a new four-year deal with the club last summer that warned other potential buyers then.
However, David Gold and David Sullivan are reportedly willing to meet to price and potentially bring the tricky forward to the London Stadium.
West Ham have been linked with Olivier Giroud and Javier Hernandez after closing the door on the possible signing of Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City.
But West Ham fans are certainly excited by the rumours linking Arnautovic to a Hammers switch.
