Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer as Antonio Conte attempts to secure a replacement for Diego Costa at the apex of the Blues attack.
Aubameyang is quickly becoming the Blues’ first-choice option in the position, with rumours of a £65m deal being in the offing as Chelsea look to wrap up their summer business as quickly as possible.
Tiemoue Bakayoko is expected to join imminently, while interest is also held in Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro, Real Madrid’s Danilo and a host of striker options.
Dortmund appear increasingly resigned to losing their star striker, with the most recent comments on the Gabonese international suggesting his future could lie elsewhere.
Here’s what has been said about the Chelsea transfer target’s future.
Peter Bosz on Aubameyang
“There is speculation about it and there will be until the end of August, it is clear.
“For me, what matters is that he is here and that he is fit.
“He is an incredible player, and as a coach I want him to stay, but honestly, I can not say it.
“We talk to him every day, I talk to Michael Zorc every day, but everything can happen and go quickly in football.
“Last year, I told Ajax that Arkadiusz Milik has to stay, and then he was in Naples.”
Michael Zorc on Aubameyang
“For now, we assume that Aubameyang will stay.
“We arranged with him that we are open for talks but only until a certain point of time.”
