Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign PSG right-back Serge Aurier and while his past is littered with problems on and off the pitch – his most recent incident was probably his strangest.
Spurs have been linked with a £24m move for the Ivory Coast international, but much depends on whether he can sort out his paperwork over an appeal against a conviction for assault.
Reports in France suggest the paperwork has now been received and just needs to be sent to the relevant authorities to allow him to be able to enter the UK and join Tottenham.
However, his most recent incident was one in March this year that got people talking.
In a Ligue 1 match against Lorient, Aurier was called from the substitutes bench to come on. However, he did not have his kit on under his tracksuit and took ten minutes to go and get it from the changing room, put it on on the bench and then warm up.
Here is footage of the incident as it was analysed on French television.
PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert admitted after the match he needed to speak with the defender and that “usually, every player should be ready in case the coach needs you.”
