Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko has indicated that he has no agreement with the club to depart before transfer deadline day.
After joining for a club-record fee last August, it seemed likely that Mauricio Pochettino would let the Frenchman depart north London after a disappointing spell with the Lilywhites.
Sissoko, who dubbed last campaign as the “worst season of his career”, has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor in recent weeks.
The Super Lig side are extremely keen to sign the player and last week it was claimed that Gencaga Meric, the club’s vice president, had jetted into London for talks with Spurs about the French international.
Despite talk of a move away from Spurs, Sissoko has taken to Twitter to play down talk of him sealing a move elsewhere.
The 28-year-old posted a video, which included the hashtags “transfer”, “press” and Turkey”, of him shaking his head to suggestions that he will be on the move.
After playing 58 minutes in his side’s 2-0 win at Newcastle on Sunday, Sissoko could once again be handed a start by Pochettino when the Lilywhites host Chelsea at Wembley.
