Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion this week and now he has admitted he is unhappy with his situation at the club.
The 23-year-old struggled for minutes and goals last season following his £17m summer move from AZ Alkmaar, but the Netherlands international had a bright pre-season at the club this time around.
However, with Harry Kane firmly entrenched as Spurs’ number one striker Janssen has again struggled for game time so far this season.
He did not feature in the Premier League draw with Burnley at Wembley on Sunday as Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino sent on central defender Davinson Sanchez in the final moments as Tottenham searched for a second goal, pushing another defender Toby Alderweireld up front rather than using Janssen.
Now the striker has admitted that he is not happy with his current situation at Spurs and would not rule out a move before the transfer window shuts.
“You’re never happy with this, everyone wants to play, but the situation is so,” he told Dutch media outlet NOS. “If I’m staying? I do not want to say too much about it at the moment. I want to focus on the Netherlands, The other questions I leave for later.”
