Tottenham are favourites with the bookies for six players ahead of transfer deadline day, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side remaining the favourites for key targets such as Serge Aurier and Ross Barkley.
Spurs made Barkley their principal target earlier this summer and have continued to monitor the Everton midfielder throughout the transfer window.
His hamstring injury threatened to scupper a deal but Spurs are still keen on signing the England international and the bookmakers price him at 13/8, though he is considered 5/6 to stay put this window.
Chelsea, who are a 4/1 shot, appear to be the only other side in contention for his signature, with a deadline-day battle between the London rivals potentially brewing.
Aurier is far likelier to join, with SkyBet placing him at 1/10 to join Spurs before the end of the window, while a PSG stay is considered just an 11/2 shot.
The only other player from the octet of players Spurs have been listed as favourites to join likelier to move than stay is Keita Balde Diao.
The Lazio winger has been linked with fellow Serie A clubs Juventus and Inter Milan but they are priced at 11/4 and 3/1 respectively, while Tottenham are 2/1 and he is 9/2 to remain with his current club.
Spurs’ transfer list is completed by Bournemouth’s Josh King, Leicester City’s Demarai Gray and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
Manager Pochettino suggested he wanted four signings prior to adding Davinson Sanchez from Ajax and if Aurier and Juan Foyth join as expected, that may reduce the number of incomings.
But Barkley and one of Balde, King or Gray could see Spurs strengthen both their midfield and attacking midfield positions with Vincent Janssen’s potential departure to West Brom leaving Spurs without a recognised back-up striker.
King could provide that and he is 6/1 to join Spurs and 1/10 to remain at Bournemouth, while Gray – who has been linked with the Cherries – is 13/9 to move to North London and 8/15 to continue with Leicester.
Ryan Sessegnon is a long-term target for Tottenham butfootball.london understands Spurs have not bid despite rumours to the contrary – his odds of a move are 2/1 and he is 4/7 to be a Fulham player for 2017/18.
