Stoke City have reportedly lodged a £15m bid for Spurs star Kevin Wimmer as they try to beat Crystal Palace and West Brom to the defender’s signature.
The Austrian international looks set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer in search of more game time, and has a number of Premier League options open to him.
The 24-year-old’s future at Spurs was plunged in to even further doubt earlier this week with the club-record arrival of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax.
West Brom were thought to be leading the race recently but, according to the Telegraph’s John Percy, it is now Stoke City who have lodged a £15m bid for the defender.
The Baggies could soon be looking for a replacement for Jonny Evans who has been subject to an £18m bid from Man City, but reports suggest Tony Pulis would still look to keep hold of his star centre-back.
Wimmer has only made 15 league appearances for Spurs since joining the club in 2015 – making just five Premier League outings last season.
