The Tottenham Hotspur team to take on Chelsea at Wembley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon has been confirmed.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had decisions to make in the defence and in midfield and he’s gone strong, with Kieran Trippier and Victor Wanyama making their first starts of the season.
Trippier injured his ankle in Tottenham‘s final pre-season friendly against Juventus at Wembley earlier this month and was assessed on Saturday by the club coaches and medical team.
Both Wanyama and Heung-Min Son got vital minutes under their belt at Newcastle United last Saturday to aid their return from injury.
Here are the teams:
Spurs: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Kane. Subs: Vorm, Walker-Peters, Wimmer, Winks, Sissoko, Son, Janssen.
Chelsea: Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Luiz, Rudiger, Moses, Alonso, Kante, Bakayoko, Willian, Morata. Subs: Caballero, Musonda, Kenedy, Pedro, Batshuayi, Tomori, Scott
