The Tigers can add Tom Huddlestone and Dieumerci Mbokani to the squad for the game at the bet365 Stadium following absences in recent weeks, while Harry Maguire is another player who could come into contention after missing out through injury last weekend.
It all means there is now competition for places across the field and Silva is pleased to have some positive selection headaches.
“It is important that I have problems in deciding the starting eleven because we have many players available,” said Silva.
“It is better for the players to have competition for places as well and we have that for many positions in the starting eleven.
“This situation can only mean that we all improve. This is a normal situation in football and it is good that we now have this.
“It is normal for a coach to watch players during the week as they fight for a position in the starting eleven. It is then down to me to think about what is best for the team.
“We have three strikers available to play, we have centre backs available and many players in midfield. This is a situation we didn’t have when I arrived in January and maybe before that as well, but we have it now. That is important and it is good for a coach to have these problems.”
Speaking more about the availability of Huddlestone again after a three-match ban, Silva added: “It is good news – he is an important player for us.
“Since I came here, Tom has had very good performances and he has improved his game as well. It is good that he has returned for selection and it is one more option for me, which is important.”
