Vincent Janssen has been left out of Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League group and the fans have been having their say.
Spurs return to Europe’s elite club competition again this year, with their home matches once again at Wembley Stadium, but two players who will not be featuring are Janssen and Erik Lamela.
The regulations for choosing a Champions League squad are strict and to comply with the homegrown numbers required Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has needed to leave out the two stars.
Netherlands striker Janssen was involved in transfer deadline day negotiations over a move to Premier League new boys Brighton, but the deal did not end up coming off and he is likely to be behind new signing Fernando Llorente and Harry Kane in the pecking order, as well as Heung-Min Son.
