Chelsea will start their Champions League campaign this season at home to Qarabag on 12th September – and will end their group stage journey with a tough fixture at home to Atletico Madrid on December 5.
This evening’s group stage draw placed the Blues in a seriously tough Group C – along with Diego Simeone’s side, AS Roma and Azerbaijani side Qarabag.
And, following this evening’s ceremony, the fixture dates have now been confirmed by Chelsea – and they start and end with two home ties.
The group stage games will be split into six match days with games to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday nights – as is standard procedure for the Champions League.
The first set of fixtures will be taking place on both the 12th and 13th of September – with the last round of group stage games not until 5th and 6th of December.
But, the group stage campaign for Antonio Conte’s men is book-ended by some pretty tough fixtures…
