The Frenchman – who has been attracting attention from West Ham and Everton, among others – has moved to rubbish speculation about his future as he remains under contract despite the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette in north London.
Speaking to French publication SFR Sport, Giroud said: “I am an Arsenal player. I have a two-year contract, at least.”
Giroud bagged the winning penalty for the Gunners on Sunday as they beat London rivals Chelsea in the Community Shield in a shoot-out.
Everton and West Ham are said to still be interested in the 30-year-old but these latest comments would seem to indicate that he is happy to stay and fight for his place at the Emirates.
