Kylian Mbappe’s Monaco future has come under question once again after he was sent home following a training ground bust-up.
The 18-year-old has dominated the headlines all summer over a potential big-money move, yet he is now in the news for all the wrong reasons.
L’Equipe report that the highly-rated forward was involved in an altercation with teammate Andrea Raggi on the training pitch last Tuesday.
After initially refusing to leave the field, Mbappe was removed by Monaco’s backroom team.
Following the clash, the French international was once again missing for his side as they won 1-0 away at Metz on Friday night.
It’s not the first time Mbappe has been left out by Leonardo Jardim, having missed out on the starting XI in their 4-1 win at Dijon five days earlier.
Despite sealing a third successive victory, all the talk post-match was regarding the player’s absence.
“It is our duty to protect him at the moment,” said Jardim when questioned by the media.
Given the news of the training ground clash, talk of Mbappe sealing a big-money move to Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain is only going to intensify.
Linked with a transfer to Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid in the summer, PSG are expected to splash the cash once again by bringing the player to the French capital for around £164million.
Although no agreement is currently in place, reports from Italy suggest that the French club have already started planning for life without their prized asset.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Monaco are lining a potential move for either Rodrigo from Valencia or Inter Milan’s Stevan Jovetic.
