Alexandre Lacazette is expected to start tonight when Arsenal face Western Sydney Wanderers at the ANZ Stadium.
Arsenal’s record signing came off the bench to score on Thursday when Arsene Wenger’s side saw off Sydney FC 2-0 in the first of their two pre-season games in Australia.
But Lacazette, along with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi and Granit Xhaka, is set to get the nod from the start for the Gunners this evening.
Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny and David Ospina – who all missed out against Sydney FC – will get game time as well.
Speaking about the trio, Arsene Wenger said: “Laurent is suspended for the first two games so I did not need to take a gamble (on Thursday). There was no need to risk him.
“With Ramsey as well I was a bit cautious because last year he was troubled with injury. I wanted to give him a good build-up, a good foundation. They will both play on Saturday.
“Ospina just came back. I have three keepers and will rotate them this weekend.”
Theo Walcott limped away from Thursday night’s game but is expected to be fit to feature – although he may well start on the bench as Wenger looks to rotate his squad and give everyone minutes before the group head off to China on Sunday.
Just as they did on Thursday night, Arsenal are expected to play in front of another near capacity crowd of 80,000 at the ANZ Stadium.
The streets of Sydney have been awash with red and white shirts during the past few days, something that has not been lost on Alex Iwobi.
“The fans are amazing,” he said. “As I came out to warm up (against Sydney FC) I was shocked, I didn’t know there would be that many there.
“But the Arsenal fanbase is that big. This is my third pre-season tour ad every time you just see so many Arsenal fans.
“It really makes you open your eyes.”
