According to reports in Italy, Chelsea are ready to splash the cash in order to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
The 25-year-old was a wanted man last season and both Chelsea and Arsenal failed in their bids to sign the powerful centre-back.
Koulibaly has made 74 appearances for Napoli since joining from Genk in 2014 and his performances this season have certainly caught the eye.
Napoli are eager to keep hold of their star players this summer but reports in Italy suggest a bid of around £50million would force their hand.
Chelsea may lose John Terry in the summer and coach Antonio Conte is eager to bring in a replacement as he looks to push the club on as they return to the Champions League next season.
