N’Golo Kante reveals he didn’t want to celebrate after scoring against his former club
“It is always special to play against my old team,” Kante told the Chelsea website.
“Everyone knows I spent an amazing year here but when I come I try to win. This was an important win for my team and I was happy to score.
“Thibaut gave me the ball, I had time so I went on a run and shot. I think somebody touched it a little bit, but it was a good goal and an important one for the team. I’m happy to help the team win.
“It’s always a pleasure to score but I kept it inside because I want to respect my old team.”
Pedro is pleased with his side’s form at present
“It’s one more win for us, a very important three points and we are continuing in the right way. The team are playing very well,” Pedro said to the club website.
“Every game in the Premier League is difficult, Leicester are very good on the counter attack and in transitions, with players like Vardy and Mahrez, so it was very important for us to win.
“They were two very good goals, Morata scored the first from a good Azpi cross, and N’Golo’s was a nice shot from outside the box. We are moving up the table which is very good for us.”
Antonio Conte has said Eden Hazard will need time to find his best form
“For sure he needs time to be 100 per cent but for us his recovery is very important,” Conte said in his post-match press conference.
“We all know very well the importance of (Hazard) for us.
“Now we must have patience to give him the possibility to improve his form, but I am pleased for him because after a bad injury it’s great to see him with us.”
Former Blue Gael Kakuta is confident of joining a great club in Europe
“I play with a smile,” Kakuta said, as reported by Goal.
“You need to feel loved and my team-mates help me a lot.
“When I went to China everyone said ‘Gael Kakuta is over’, but no. My aim is to join a great club in Europe.”
