The Blues take on Azerbaijani side Qarabag at Stamford Bridge as they return to Europe’s top contest, and supporters had expected Musonda to be given a run in the senior team for tonight’s game.
Antonio Conte had hinted that he would rotate the team for tonight’s game and Musonda had hinted he would be given a chance with an Instagram post on Sunday.
But with the team announced on Tuesday night, Musonda was nowhere to be seen. The starting XI was released 17 minutes before the substitutes were announced but still Musonda’s name was not included.
Fans wasted no time in taking to Twitter to share their disgust with Musonda’s exclusion, particularly in the wake of two promising youngsters, Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathan Ake, leaving on permanent transfers this summer after failing to get regular game time.
Should Musonda have been given a chance tonight? Let us know in the comments below.
