Jack Wilshere has shown he has a sense of humour about his lack of game time at Arsenal with his latest activity on social media.
The 25-year-old is back at the Gunners after last season’s loan at Bournemouth and while many expected to depart once again during the summer transfer window, with West Ham and Birmingham linked, he remained at the club.
Wilshere is on the road to recovery after his latest injury, a fractured leg while at the Cherries last season, and took time out to comment on an Instagram post from one of his Bournemouth team-mates from his time there, Tyrone Mings.
Mings was advertising his football academy with this post on Friday.
As can be seen above, Wilshere commented alongside Mings’ post: “Do you take 25 year olds who can’t get a game? I’m fully fit and ready to go.”
Arsene Wenger is hoping the former England international can get back to his best.
“At the moment he is working very hard to come back after his fracture. You know how much I love Jack and his talent. I started him at the age of 17 but today in the football world you need to be a consistent presence,” he said.
“What is at stake for Jack is not his quality, his talent or his determination, it is whether he is a consistent presence at the top. I hope he can manage to do that and. Nobody questions his quality.”
