The 27-year-old, who spent eight years at White Hart Lane, moved to the Etihad a fortnight ago for a world record £53m, making him the most expensive defender of all time.
But no sooner had he said his goodbyes and got used to his new surroundings at Manchester, was he forced to play against his former team-mates during the International Champions Cup in Nashville.
Walker started and played 75 minutes of City’s 3-0 win over his former side, in a game Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted his side were off the pace.
After the game Walked tweeted a photo of himself embracing former boss Pochettino and said: “Really enjoyed the tour with @ManCity! It was strange to play against the boys last night but great to see everyone at @spursofficial again!”
Tottenham will next face Walker and Manchester City again in December at the Etihad Stadium.
