Paul Merson doesn’t believe Arsenal will mount a title challenge next season
“I will be shocked if there will be a title challenge in my opinion,” Merson told talkSPORT.
“I think they are still short, I don’t think they’ll dominate games in midfield and they are not rock solid at the back, so for me that is the worry.
“Going forward I never have a worry because they make loads and loads of chances, at least they are dipping in their pockets and buying a better quality of player.”
Alex Iwobi eager to learn from Lacazette
“He is a good finisher,” said Iwobi told football.london of new signing Lacazette at a #RacetotheEmiartes event during Arsenal’s tour of Australia.
“If he gets the chances I’m sure he will put them away. I was just happy I was the one to help him get his first goal.
“For me as a young player he is someone to learn off, he is someone who can teach me something just by watching him.
“The fact that I get to play with him now is great.”
Cohen Bramall targets more games for Arsenal after first-team debut
“I still pinch myself,” Bramall told football.london in an exclusive interview.
“I thought when I came out I would be a bit more nervous than I was, but when I started playing I got into my stride.
“It was great, probably the best night of my life to be fair. It was an unreal experience and it meant a lot to me.
“I’ll never forget it and it means a lot to my family – hopefully there is more to come.”
Barcelona legend Xavi doesn’t want his former club to sign Hector Bellerin
“I haven’t seen him play much, but I’ll say one thing: it would be difficult for me to sign a player we’d already had,” Xavi told Sport.
“Yes, it can turn out good, bad or average. But I’m not in favour of re-signing players who have left. Why do they leave at 16 or 17? It seems ridiculous to me. I don’t understand it.”
