Former West Ham star Dimitri Payet says he “knows how to be a d******d”
“I know how to be a d***head, It’s one of my specialties. It’s a little game. When I want to piss everyone off, I do it.
“My managers understood that: when I sulk, they talk to me. It’s a way for me to be heard. Those who know me play along, and in the end it goes well.
“He [Slaven Bilic] managed me like a father. We spoke every day. He quickly understood how I worked.
“You saw that straight away in how quickly I adapted. He’s a cranky guy. He’s from Croatia… he can shout, but he’s good at man-management.”
Mark Noble hails Joe Hart as England face Slovakia
“Joe is England’s No1, he’s a fantastic goalie and I think he’ll stay that of a while yet to come.
“He’s a fantastic character. He’s played in massive tournaments and won the Premier League so it’s always nice to have that experience. We probably haven’t protected him as well as we should have done in the first three games here, but he’s a leader, a great person and hopefully he can start his enjoyment of West Ham from next Monday night.”
West Ham Ladies boss Greg De Carnys disappointed after cup exit to Chichester
“We’d hoped to put together a good run in the cup this year, and we spoke before the game about carrying that momentum from last week’s Cardiff game into this week.
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. We have set the bar quite high after those impressive performances against Gillingham and Cardiff, dominating possession and creating lots of chances, but today we weren’t able to do that. It’s obviously disappointing.
“We have to dust ourselves down, now. Hopefully we will have a few players back next week and we need to try to get ourselves back to the sort of performance we have become used to.”
