Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur in recent days and his father has added some weight to those reports.
With Vincent Janssen linked with a move away from Spurs before the transfer window closes, the north Londoners are reportedly eyeing up another striker willing to play back up to Harry Kane.
It is being reported that Origi feels he has more chance of breaking through under Mauricio Pochettino than Jurgen Klopp and he would find plenty of fellow Belgians at Spurs in Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld.
Klopp did not deny this week claims that the 22-year-old – who scored seven goals in 34 Premier League appearances last season – could leave Anfield before the end of the transfer window and now the player’s father – former Kenya international Mike Origi – has had his say on the topic to the Belgian media.
“We’ve not been contacted by Anderlecht. Divock has to leave Liverpool to get more playing time. Tottenham is a possibility, but there is also interest from France and Germany,” he said.
