West Ham co-chairman David Gold has suffered the wrath of Hammers fans once again after he posted on social media about young star Reece Burke.
The 20-year-old was due to go on loan to Bolton Wanderers for the upcoming season but Slaven Bilic pumped the brakes on the move, taking Burke to Austria for the Hammers pre-season training camp and two games against Sturm Graz and Fulham.
Burke joined fellow youngsters Toni Martinez, Josh Cullen and Declan Rice in the touring party as the Hammers youngsters try to make an impression on Bilic ahead of the new Premier League season.
Gold have previously come under heavy fire from West Ham fans for his comments on the younger players being unlikely to break through into a team of “seasoned internationals”.
In what looks very much like a tweet to back up what the co-chairman has said before, he has been on the receiving end of some harsh words from supporters as a result of the post, which you can see below.
