Boro’s Dael Fry has been named in Keith Downing’s England Under-20s team for this month’s international tournament in France.
The Young Lions will play three games at the end of March, against Portugal, France and Senegal.
England meet Portugal on March 23, before facing France on March 25 and then Senegal three days later.
Fry is a regular for the England youth set up and last year was called upon by former Boro captain Gareth Southgate to train with the senior squad.
The defender spent the first half of this season on loan at Rotherham where he made 10 appearances in the Championship.
He returned to Boro in January and has since featured twice for Aitor Karanka’s side in the Emirates FA Cup against Accrington Stanley and Manchester City.
