Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is hopeful Victor Moses will be fit to face Stoke on Saturday but has a couple of other injury concerns.
Right wing-back Moses had been a doubt for the trip to the bet365 Stadium, having failed to finish Monday’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester United due to a calf injury.
The Nigeria international was taken off in the closing stages at Stamford Bridge but Conte appeared positive over his fitness when asked whether he could feature at Stoke.
“He trained well. I think he is available for the the game against Stoke,” said the Italian.
Conte went on to reveal that he did have a couple of injury doubts in his squad but refused to name the players in question in Friday’s press conference.
“It’s important to check a couple of situations and make the best decision tomorrow,” he added. “I prefer to keep for me, which are these couple of situations, but I think you understand the reasons.”
Conte could decide to recall Pedro for Saturday’s clash after resting him against United as Chelsea go in search of the win that would send them 13 points clear at the top of the table.
