Antonio Conte will have to make a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sooner rather than later if he intends to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge.
After Chelsea missed out on the signing of Romelu Lukaku, Aubameyang joins Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti on a list of striking options for the Premier League champions.
Aubameyang is believed to have been offered to the Blues for £70million but the club will have to move quickly to sign the forward.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive, has told Welt am Sonntag that time is running out for clubs who want to purchase the 28-year-old.
Watzke said: “We have not received any offers for the player. We will wait a few more days, but not for much longer than that.
“Personally, I’d be happy if Pierre were to remain. Obviously there are clubs in the world where Aubameyang could earn more than he does here.”
AC Milan, Aubameyang’s former club, are believed to be interested in splashing the cash once again by bringing the striker back to the San Siro.
The Gabon international, who scored 40 goals in 46 games for Dortmund last season, is odds on at 5/6 with SkyBet to move to west London ahead of the new season.
AC Milan are priced at 7/2 to sign the striker, while he is 3/1 to remain in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
