Chelsea are reportedly set to hand a new contract to manager Antonio Conte as they look to fend off interest from Inter Milan.
The 47-year-old has settled immediately into life as a Premier League manager after taking the reins at Stamford Bridge over the summer.
Conte looks set to lift the league title in his debut season in England, with Chelsea currently leading second-placed Tottenham by 10 points.
Reports claim that Inter are considering a swoop for the former Italy boss as the club’s new Chinese investors look to build for the future.
It’s understood that Conte will be offered a £10million-a-year deal to link up with the San Siro outfit as well as a huge budget to revamp the squad.
However, Chelsea are not prepared to see their man leave after just one season at the helm at will hand him a significant pay rise in the hope of keeping him tied down.
