The defender has excelled for the Bianconeri in recent years, having first come to wider recognition during Antonio Conte’s spell in charge in Turin.
Bonucci is seen as arguably the best in the world at playing as the central man in a back three and has inevitably been liked with a lucrative switch to Stamford Bridge following Conte’s now famous switch in formation.
Manchester City are also thought to have shown an interest but Chelsea appears to be a more suitable fit.
The 30-year-old appears happy in Italy, though, insisting any rumours about his future have been fabricated.
Speaking to La Stampa, he insisted: “It’s just chatter. All of you [journalists] have done everything.”
