The Belgium international has been the undisputed number one at Stamford Bridge since he returned from a three-year loan spell with Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014, winning his second Premier League title in three years with the west London club during the 2016-17 campaign.
The 25-year-old’s family remains based in Madrid, however, and speculation has consistently suggested he could return to the Spanish capital in the future.
Courtois has now moved to dismiss those reports by underlining his commitment to Chelsea and he insists he is open to extending his contract at Stamford Bridge.
“I am very happy and there (at Chelsea) is no doubt I will stay,” the stopper told Sky Sports. “My contract runs out in two years so obviously I need a new deal. It’s important I finish the season well with the national team and then maybe Chelsea will speak with my agent.
“If it’s a good deal I will be very happy to sign.”
