Courtois has stated his desire to extend his stay at Chelsea on numerous occasions and the reigning Premier League champions have been locked in negotiations with the shot-stopper for some time.
The Belgium international has been number one at Stamford Bridge for the past three years and he played a key role in helping the Blues lift the English title in both the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons.
However, the 25-year-old’s future has now been cast into doubt, with reports claiming contract talks have stalled for the time being.
It is believed the keeper wants his current wages – said to be £90,000 per week – doubled, but Chelsea are unwilling to offer that much.
But while potential rivals consider making an offer, the Blues still feel confident that both parties can come to an agreement and Courtois will end up committing his long-term future to the club.
