Beleaguered Slaven Bilic had been looking forward to having a fully fit squad for West Ham to bring to the London Stadium on Monday for the visit of Huddersfield but that’s unlikely to be the case.
There is some good news though as Andy Carroll could take a place on the bench after another long injury lay-off, while Winston Reid is also pushing for inclusion after recovering from a calf problem he picked up in the warm-up down at Southampton.
With two attack minded players seemingly ruled out of Monday’s visit of the Terriers, Bilic will have to delve deep into his reserves to make up the numbers with his thin squad already stretched.
It’s a chance for Diafra Sakho to prove himself after his meeting with Bilic following the striker going AWOL on the final day of the transfer window as he pushed a move through to Rennes which never materialised.
Michail Antonio also continues his comeback from injury but there is no place for Declan Rice, who makes way for Cheikhou Kouyate after the Senegalese midfielder completed 90 minutes for country in midweek.
