The Scottish winger has been something of a bust at West Ham following his £10m move from Hull City just eight months ago, failing to find the net in 15 appearances last season and hasn’t made the squad for the opening two Premier League games of this season.
The winger also wasn’t included in the squad for the 2-0 Carabao Cup win at Cheltenham Town on Wednesday evening as it appears the writing is on the wall over his future.
Bilic was asked about Snodgrass at his pre-Newcastle press conference at Rush Green on Thursday and said if the deal suited the club, Snodgrass could go.
“As I said, there is one more week to go [of the transfer window],” Bilic said.
“Some players if they are not happy with their position or if they want a new challenge or whatever, some also private reasons, they still have one week to go.
“Only, only if the deal suits us and if in that position we have enough players to continue the season.”
