West Ham have confirmed their fifth signing of the summer – Montenegro international Sead Haksabanovic.
Reports broke earlier this afternoon that the Hammers were interested in a £2.7m move for the attacking midfielder and, later this evening, a leaked picture appeared to confirm the move.
And now West Ham themselves have announced the deal – with Haksabanovic moving to the London Stadium from Swedish side Halmstads BK on a five-year contract for an officially undisclosed fee.
As ever, Hammers supporters have been quick off the mark in their reaction to the signing.
Many, of course, have never heard of the 18-year-old – who has been playing in Sweden throughout his young career so far, although he has had trials at Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the past.
Others joked that Haksabanovic was even already better than United star Marcus Rashford and that they’d been watching the Montenegro international for years…
