The winger has only just returned from a spell on the sidelines – making his first appearance of the season in the dismal performance against Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday.
However, the 28-year-old was called up for Chile’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers – but looks to have sustained another injury whilst on international duty.
According to Chilean publication BioBioChile, the winger has picked up an ankle knock in training with La Roja, but they claim that the injury is not thought to be serious.
However, they do claim that Sanchez will now be doubtful for his national side’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Bolivia on Tuesday after leaving the training session yesterday early with an ice pack on his left ankle.
Having only just returned from an injury after his extended break due to the Confederations Cup, the Gunners will still be wary of losing their star for any more matches.
