Alex Iwobi has returned the full training this week ahead of today’s game against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.
But now he looks to be available for selection for today’s visit of the Cherries as he revealed on his Snapchat that he has returned following the thigh injury which has limited his chances so far this season.
Arsenal head into today’s game knowing that anything other than a win will pile the pressure further upon them and their manager Arsene Wenger following successive defeats to Stoke and Liverpool.
There are rumours that Wenger may abandon the new three at the back formation in favour of the more familiar 4-2-3-1 which the Frenchman has employed for most of the last decade after the Gunners conceded eight goals in their opening three games.
Iwobi’s return is a welcome boost heading into the 3pm kick off in north London and although he may not start, his presence on the bench would give Arsenal another dimension to turn to later in the game, something which has been lacking in the previous two defeats.
With Alexis Sanchez’s immediate future resolved following the close of the transfer window, the Chilean is expected to start at the Emirates – although fans will be hoping he can shake off his recent poor run of form.
