Arsenal are looking to add Monaco winger Thomas Lemar to their recent big spending and new signing Alexandre Lacazette could just be the key.
According to French publication L’Equipe, the strong friendship between the two players means that the Gunners could convince the youngster to join them.
The 21-year-old and Arsenal’s new acquisition play together in the French national team, and Lemar has certainly caught the eye after a brilliant Ligue 1-winning season and an impressive Champions League campaign with Monaco.
However, the Gunners are not the only team chasing down the talented forward, with Spurs also reportedly keeping tabs on if they can snatch him from their north London rivals.
Arsenal are believed to have made a new €45m offer, however Monaco are asking for closer to £80m mark which leaves the Gunners way off the proposed target.
After spending £53m on Lacazette, it would be a massive statement for the Gunners to shell out that amount of money once again.
