England’s U19 have advanced to the final of the European Championships after a late winner from Manchester City youngster Lukas Nmecha secured a 1-0 victory over Czech Republic.
The Young Lions booked their place in the decider when Nmecha struck in stoppage time, sending the team and it’s bench into pandemonium.
Tottenham youngster Marcus Edwards was pivotal in the goal’s creation, eluding his marker and then delivering the ball for Nmecha to back-heel home.
Keith Dowling’s side will now face Portugal in the final on Saturday.
This will be the third time that England’s U19 squad have made the final of the tournament, however, they lost both of their previous appearances in 2005 and 2009.
